This Privacy Policy describes how Fenwick Holdings LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Tonight's Table mobile application (the "App").
We've designed Tonight's Table to collect as little data as possible. We don't run a server, and the information you create in the App โ your visited-restaurants log, ratings, and settings โ stays on your device. The one exception is advertising: the free version of the App is supported by ads served through a third-party ad network (Google AdMob), which collects some data as described below. You can turn ads off with a one-time in-app purchase.
Summary
- No accounts. Tonight's Table doesn't require sign-up, login, or any personal identifiers.
- No first-party analytics. We don't run our own servers and don't use any first-party analytics SDK, and we don't build profiles of you. However, the free app is ad-supported โ see "Advertising" below for what our ad provider collects.
- Your in-app data stays on your device. Your visited-restaurants log, language, search radius, cuisine selection, and other settings are stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's UserDefaults. We never see, transmit, or store this data.
- Location is processed on-device. When you tap "Use my current location," iOS provides your coordinates to the App to search nearby restaurants via Apple's MapKit. We never receive your coordinates โ we have no server.
- Ads (free version). The free App shows ads via Google AdMob, which may use your device advertising identifier (IDFA) and other device data to serve and measure ads, subject to the App Tracking Transparency choice you make. A one-time Remove Ads purchase turns ads off.
- Purchases are handled by Apple. The optional Remove Ads purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment information.
Information We Collect
Information we do not collect
We (Fenwick Holdings LLC) do not collect or store on any server:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any contact information
- Your location data (we have no server to send it to)
- Your usage patterns, search history, or in-app behavior
- Any photographs, media, or other content
Information processed locally on your device, with your permission
- Approximate or precise location, only when you tap the location button and grant permission. Location is used solely to find nearby restaurants and is never transmitted off your device by us.
- Map data, provided by Apple Maps. Apple's privacy policy governs Apple's handling of this data.
- Text you type, such as a town or zip code, is sent to Apple's MapKit on-device for geocoding and search. We never receive a copy.
Information collected through advertising (free version)
When the free App displays ads, our advertising provider, Google (AdMob), may collect and process:
- Your device advertising identifier (IDFA) โ used to personalize ads only if you allow tracking when iOS shows the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you decline, you'll see non-personalized ads.
- Device and technical information, such as device model, operating system, IP address, and general (coarse) location.
- Ad-interaction data, such as ad impressions and clicks, used to serve and measure advertising.
This information is collected directly by Google under its own privacy policy and advertising terms; we do not receive it ourselves. Purchasing Remove Ads stops ads from being shown in the App.
How Information Is Used
- Restaurant search. The town, zip code, or current location you provide is passed to Apple's MapKit framework on your device to find nearby restaurants. This is a local search; we run no server and never see your queries.
- Preferences. Your language, search radius, cuisine preference, and visited-restaurants log are stored on your device only (Apple's UserDefaults) and used to personalize your experience within the App.
- Advertising. In the free version, Google AdMob uses the information above to serve and measure ads, in line with your ATT choice.
- Remove Ads purchase. When you buy Remove Ads, Apple processes the transaction and informs the App of your purchase status through Apple's StoreKit framework. We receive no payment data, and ads stop showing.
Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. Apart from advertising, we do not share, rent, or transfer your information to third parties.
The App relies on the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob โ serves ads in the free version and collects the data described under "Advertising" above, under Google's privacy policy.
- Apple StoreKit โ processes the in-app Remove Ads purchase. Subject to Apple's standard terms.
- Apple MapKit โ displays maps and searches for points of interest. Subject to Apple's privacy disclosures.
- Apple CoreLocation โ obtains your device's location when you grant permission.
When you tap "Open in Maps," "Open in Waze," "Call," or "Website," the App opens the corresponding system app or browser. Once you leave Tonight's Table, the destination app's own privacy policy applies. We do not share data with those apps; we simply open them with the relevant address, phone number, or URL.
Data Retention
We do not collect or store your personal data on any server, so we have nothing to retain. Data stored locally on your device persists until you delete the App or clear its data through iOS settings. You can delete individual entries from the visited-restaurants log inside the App at any time by swiping to delete in the log sheet. Data collected by Google for advertising is retained under Google's policies.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
We do not collect personal information server-side and we do not sell your personal information. To the extent that serving personalized ads through Google constitutes "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law, you can opt out by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt or by purchasing Remove Ads. You also have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to deletion, and the right to non-discrimination.
EU and UK residents (GDPR)
You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object to processing. We hold no personal data on any server. Personalized advertising is based on your consent (your App Tracking Transparency choice); you can withdraw it at any time in iOS Settings, or remove ads entirely via the Remove Ads purchase. Data processed by Google for advertising is handled under Google's policies.
Children's Privacy
Tonight's Table is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, regardless of age, and ads shown in the App are not directed to children.
Security
Because your in-app data never leaves your device, there is no transmission for us to secure on our end. On-device data is protected by iOS's standard sandboxing and encryption.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and update the policy within the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
